About STMA Schools
We are a district that serves over 6,700 students and employs more than 750 employees in a northwestern suburb of Minneapolis, Minnesota. Our district is comprised of one primary school for kindergarten students, three elementary schools for grades 1-4, two middle schools for grades 5-8, and one high school for grades 9-12.

Position Overview & Responsibilities

Monitors, supervises and/or provides child care for infants, toddlers, preschoolers or older siblings under the direction of instructional personnel in the ECFE and School Readiness classrooms while parents attend class; participates in classroom activities and classes with parents and children; and assists in the greeting and clean-up functions prior to and after classes. Start Date: 08/26/25
Contract: 186 days
Schedule: Monday, Wednesday, Friday, 7:20-10:30 AM 

FTE: 0.2375 (9.5 hours per week)

Salary & Benefits

Starting Rate: $18.38-$18.86 per hour.  

This position may be combined with other benefits-eligible positions within the district to reach benefits eligibility, but is not separately eligible for benefits, other than Earned Safe and Sick Time, provided as requirest by law.

Requirements & Qualifications

Requires high school diploma or equivalent (GED), 2 years of schooling beyond high school and knowledge and understanding of child development and CPR/First Aid certification; must be able to kneel, stoop, crouch, crawl and lift up to 30 pounds.
