About STMA Schools
We are a district that serves over 6,700 students and employs 750+ employees in a northwestern suburb of Minneapolis, Minnesota. Our district consists of one primary school for kindergarten students, three elementary schools for grades 1-4, two middle schools for grades 5-8, and one high school for grades 9-12.

 

Position Overview & Responsibilities
Responsible for preparing lessons, instructing students with a wide range of abilities, assessing student learning, collecting and analyzing student data to plan instruction, creating an engaging and respectful classroom environment, communicating with students, parent and multiple stakeholders, maintaining accurate records, supervising students, participating in school improvement initiatives and learning professionally. Start date: Immediate opening
FTE: 1.0

Contract: Student contact days only; 2024-25 School Year Only

Contract Length: Actual Start Date through June 5, 2025

Schedule: 7:30am-3:30pm, Monday-Friday

 

Requirements & Qualifications
Bachelor's degree and required substitute teaching license (short-call, Tier 3, Tier 4, or lifetime).

 

Salary & Benefits
This position is salaried and salary will be the equivalent of $190/day or $200/day__the higher rate is available to anyone who worked as a daily or long-term certified substitute teacher in the district for at least 30 student days during the 2023-24 school year.
